[ee122] UNIX and FileNameChar

The http protocol says that a valid file URI consists of:

Path = "/" *FileNameChar
FileNameChar = ALPHA | DIGIT | "." | "-" | " " | "/"

That means that a valid path could be:


If this is true, what is the file extension?
What is the directory that the client wished to access?

If I could have the answer to these two questions, I think I'd know
exactly how I am expected to implement these retrievals. Thank you.
