Yes, it will be good to specify the key outputs.

For a particular   implementation   of the tests (say an NS2
simulation), other information may be easily available.  At the
round-table, I was hoping to start on specifying   common   tests that
could be done at different "levels of abstraction": analysis,
simulation, emulation, and also  real networks.

Measuring the throughput of a router port is typically only possible
using SNMP statistics which are updated infrequently.  For that
reason, I'd vote against it as a "key output", although of course an
NS2 tool would probably make it available.  I'd be happy to be
outvoted...
