Log message:
Apply a patch:
* Add a Clock class that implements two methods advance_time and
current_time. advance_time() actually reads the clock from
the system, while current_time() just returns the time as of
when advance_time was called.
* Refactor the eventloop to use the new Clock class instead
of calling gettimeofday() a number of times.
This makes timer rescheduling operations much cheaper since there's no
need to call gettimeofday at all, the timer value is updated based on
the last time advance_time was called - the error will be the time
elapsed since the eventloop started.
* Implement system_gettimeofday() as "advance_time(); current_time()"
* Call advance_time() both before running the selector list and before
running the timers.
* Add new method TimerList::system_sleep() that should be used
by a process to sleep rather than sleep(3) or usleep(3)
