[Xorp-hackers] Query on Policy-Based Routing

Hi:

I agree that policy "forwarding" lies on the data path, and need not be
incorporated with XORP (since XORP is on the control path - routing
decisions). How policy forwarding would work, is it would look for ACLs
defined on interfaces, and any match for packets, the filter policy would
be executed, otherwise, packets (that do not match any ACL) pick the
next-hop interface from the forwarding table, which is established using
XORP.
