[Xorp-users] Simulation with several routers on one machine

I'm working on multicast routing protocols, focusing on intra and
interdomain issues. I'd like to simulate a topology with
OSPF/BGP/PIM-SM and compare it with OSPF/BGP/Another-multicast-routing-
protocol. It would be easier to have a virtual topology running on a
single machine. Protocol implementations in J-Sim or ns-2 are
simplified and it would be interesting to simulate real
implementations. I know that the number of simulated nodes would be
limited but it would fill the gap between pure simulations and pure
implementations.
So, the answer would be routing and forwarding.
I have not yet started coding anything in XORP, I'm only investigating
what could be done.

Thanks for your fast answer,
Xavier
