click is a unicast forwarding engine, it takes packets in and send them
out of the correct interface, based on the host operating systems
routing tables.

xorp is a routing engine, it is made up of a collection of routing
protocols (both unicast and multicast) and works out the routing table
which a forwarding engine such as click would use. xorp uses either the
freebsd or linux forwarding paths at the moment.
