The error messages you report raise the following questions:-

Did you create the user and group 'xorp' on your system (as explained
in the documentation) ?

Did you have any RTF_REJECT or RTF_DISCARD routes in your kernel forwarding
table (as shown by netstat -rn) before running XORP?

Does your configuration file contain a soft discard interface (needed if you
intend to do blackhole routing on FreeBSD or Linux) ?

Are you attempting to use Click without having installed it first?
