Traffic engineering is often done with the use of
mpls which is not currently supported in XORP.

If we're talking MPLS ...
There are experimental MPLS for Linux, none for
*BSD afaik. I'm not sure of it's current state.
When you got a working tag switching mechanism you
need TE extensions to OSPF and this is not one of
the primary goals of XORP right now although I'm
sure it will be implemented eventually.

If you're a hardcore hacker you could always
