Did you run "make install" as root?
Is your PATH set right?
Try running /usr/local/xorp/bin/xorpsh
Make sure rtrmgr is started.
Try -v

Last but certainly not least, you need to send us
the error message. It's very hard to tell what's
wrong without an error message.
