Hi,

XORP does not require Click for forwarding to work, it can optionally
use Click for forwarding if required. You can therefore use an
unmodified kernel. In the file BUILD_NOTES in the top level directory
you will find a list of supported systems Linux 2.4 is supported.

Its difficult to provide a simple config file without knowing which
protocols you are intending to use. The simplest configuration requires:
1) An "interfaces" block to specify the interfaces that XORP should use.
2) For IPv4 only without Click a "fea" block is *not* required.
3) A "protocol" block with the required protocols.
