Thanks for the report Can you also send the output of these commands, 
this does look like a link ordering issue (it's fine on my FreeBSD 7.2 
systems) and I'm trying to think if there have been any changes to 
ld/g++ stage2 which might account for what you're seeing:-

tack:~ % ld -v

tack:~ % gcc -v
