There is a global variable (or maybe #define) somewhere that determines
the timeout.  You could hack that and re-compiled.

It has already been increased in xorp-ct (helps with running lots of xorp processes
on slow virtual-machines, or with something like valgrind enabled).  That said, unless you are
running under high load on a really slow system, you probably shouldn't be seeing
timeouts.
