"[ 2011/02/24 16:27:05  ERROR xorp_fea:3982 MFEA +1191 mfea_node.cc
start_vif ] Cannot start vif eth0.33: cannot add the multicast vif to
the kernel"

Your config looks pretty choppy. XORP is a little sensitive to
ordering of configuration. It looks like it's not configuring eth0.33
correctly, also not sure how well it will handle multiple protocol
blocks.

You also forgot to enable fib2mrib.

Be sure that the vlan interfaces have been created and exist before
you start XORP, then try this config:

----8<----
/*XORP Configuration File, v1.0*/
protocols {
    fib2mrib {
        disable: false
    }
    igmp {
