Is this the board you have, or did you do a custom board?

If you've got USB-host, (or SDcard) you should be able to put
a debian-arm chroot on a usb driver/sdcard. This is how I'm 
running debian (and self-hosted compiling xorp) on a Asus
transformer android tablet.
