 With this patch, I'm seeing a number of test-suite problem in devel, all
 in the SMTP analyzer and of the following kind:

    error: '<' not found in argument to RCPT: TO: <vernee.lbl.gov>

 Looking at smtp.bro, it seems like the split1 function has a problem.

 I'm backing the change out of devel for now.
