 I agree that generally we should avoid the command line flags, the
 redef mechanism works fine. In this case, however, I'd actually
 prefer the command line option, as it's one of these things ones
 sometimes needs immediately (or at least wants to try quickly when
 something's not working), and then finding the right option takes
 time (assuming one even thinks about it). It's like -C, which has
 turned out to be quite handy to have.

 Yes, that would help, I like the idea. However, it is worth it? How
 many options do we have that would be listed here? Also, it may be
 tough call which ones to list vs which not.
