 Robin and I discussed this a while ago and I think the general consensus
 was to remove the &redef attribute.  It's sort of redundant with the
 export section now and we can just be sure to rewrite all of the scripts
 to put their redef-ables in the export section.  &redef can also be
 applied to globals which doesn't exactly make sense and actually causes
 problems as this ticket demonstrates.
