Dipping into this thread (so maybe missing important context - apologies
if so), this is seeming pretty weird:

Why isn't the answer that this should just be

	@load frameworks/software/base

?  What's so cool about using '.'s instead of '/'s that it's worth
conflicting with the user's file-system mental model?
