 My plan for tracking documentation of logging streams shouldn't be that
 bad (if it actually works like I think it will).

 But doc mode seems to fail badly when scripts start using that new feature
 of adding new fields to record types.  Let me see if I can
 reproduce/understand/fix this in the doc branch before we do any merging.
