 On FreeBSD 8.1 after `make distclean`:

 {{{
 LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/lib ./configure --prefix=$HOME && make -j 8
 […]

 GeoIP:             true
 Google perftools:  false

 ================================================================

 -- Generating done
 -- Build files have been written to: /usr/home/bro/src/bro-git/build
 `build' is up to date.
 }}}

 I.e., it doesn't build.

 Typing `make` then works though. This is reproducible, but oddly if I do
 the steps configure and make separately, it works just fine. Any idea?
