 Testing on our FreeBSD cluster has shown some strange behavior when
 running the sumstats framework with scan.bro and using the attached
 script to log exchanged cluster messages.

 This is rather interesting, because the script only writes information to
 the logging framework and interacts in no way with anything that should
 be able to mess with the reference counting.
