Here are the performance improvements I'm seeing:

[ 28%] tests.m57-short ... failed (-15.8%)
[ 71%] tests.ipv6 ... failed (-4.9%)
[ 85%] tests.m57-long ... failed (-2.6%)
[ 50%] tests.short ... failed (-1.4%)
[ 75%] tests.medium ... failed (-1.1%)

Pretty neat (though as you say, also clearly traffic dependent).
