Hello,
Just take a look at the file "bro.cfg" and search for

# Bro policy paths
BROPATH="/opt/share/bro-1.4/site:/opt/share/bro-1.4/share/bro:/opt/share/bro-1.4/share/bro/sigs:/opt/share/bro-1.4/share/bro/time-machine"
export BROPATH
===
Check that "hostname.bro" is in one of these directories, if not create
it.
