I would recommend installing from source. While we test the RPM on the current red hat and centos, we don't put a lot of extra effort into binary packages. Fedora in particular is hard to keep up with.

Hello. I have a fedora 20 system and am trying to install bro-2.2.1 from the rpm. It keeps failing on the install because it says I need libpython2.6.so.1.0. I checked and I have python 2.7 installed. How do I get it to recognize I have a newer better version of pyhthon available ? Thanks.
