Whoops. I misread your message -- sorry about that, I am under a lot of 
time pressure at the moment.

It looks like we've missed out the HAVE_IPV6_MULTICAST check in porting 
over the SCons tests from Autoconf. There probably just needs to be an 
additional check in allconfig.py to check for the appropriate IPv6 
socket options. Adding it shouldn't be too difficult

Can you please raise a Trac ticket about this, and I'll try to look into 
it when less pressed? I'm busy refactoring libxipc at the moment, so I 
am unable to look at this issue right away. JT might also be able to 
look into it, but he's pretty tied up too.

If you are able to submit a patch for this issue, then it's likely to 
get fixed more quickly, providing it doesn't break the non-Linux case.
